Greetings to one and all. In this blog I hope to explain the landscape of our society and government through the lens of politics and economics. It will be part education, part commentary and completely politically incorrect. Whether you agree with me or not, my hope is to spark debate and challenge beliefs in search of the truth and "a more perfect union." Well thought-out rebuttals as well as concurrence are welcome and encouraged.
The basis of my thoughts come from the Constitution of the United States, Austrian economics and current thinkers whom I will introduce to you on our journey. I am compelled to share my thoughts with you in this format because I sincerely believe our liberties are being eroded on a daily basis, our currency is on unstable ground along with our economy and we as citizens are allowing it to happen because we have been lulled to sleep (figuratively) by the comforts and affluence we enjoy. Politically I am a libertarian leaning conservative who thinks the only thing worse than voting for a Republican in these times is voting for a Democrat. Similarly, I believe the U.S. dollar is the worst and weakest currency in existence, except for all the rest. We are in the midst of a generational shift on many fronts and the way we choose to respond to those challenges will determine the future of our nation. At the very least I hope to get you to think about these challenges we face and the best way to handle them.
